The Automation tab of the State Properties dialog lets you
specify an automation agent for this workflow state. If the tab is not shown, your admin has not yet
set up the M-Files
Aino Custom Agents vault application.
M-Files administrators can
create more automation agents. For instructions, refer to these documents:
To add an automation agent:

Open M-Files Admin.

In the left-side tree view, expand a connection to M-Files server.

Expand Document Vaults.

Expand a vault.
-
Select Workflows.
-
Select a workflow from the list or create a new
one.

Open the context menu for a state in the workflow and select Edit.

Open the Automation tab.
-
Select Enable automation agent in this state.

Select an automation agent from the dropdown menu.
Result:M-Files shows a description of the selected automation
agent.

Select OK to save your changes.
M-Files starts the selected automation agent each time an object
enters this workflow state.
If the dropdown menu shows a GUID instead of an agent name, the selected agent is no
longer available in the vault. To use an automation agent in this state, select a valid agent and save
your changes.
